Most people don't like confrontation. But why must I love sleep more? I'm literally tired of being the guy who has to keep our neighborhood quiet. Sure, you may think playing music at midnight should be allowed. But this is the 2nd night in a row that my neighbor across the alley has allowed his car alarm to go off. Last night it went off ALL NIGHT LONG. I told Jamie, I really wanted to go do something about it, but I was too tired. Tonight I weighed my current lack of sleep to the lack of sleep I would have after two nights of this. So I went and knocked on the door of the house that had the car alarm going off. And I knocked again. Then I made it obvious with my knocking I was going to get louder and louder and wasn't going away. He finally opened the door to his house. He acted like he didn't care about the alarm. I stressed that I was trying to sleep and was unable to. He closed the door. Car alarm is still going off. I wait outside debating about calling the police. He finally opens his house and comes to turn off the alarm. Now my adrenaline is keeping me awake, but at least the rest of my house, and neighborhood, can go to sleep.
Good night, my readers.
And you're welcome, neighbors. Please feel free to say something yourselves next time so I don't have to get up AND put on pants.
The alarm went off again about half an hour later. We disconnected the battery. #LetsTryThisAgain
